Hey Coach!

My name is Woodrow Arrington, most people call me Woody but some of you know me as Squigmire!

I’ve been an avid fan of Blood Bowl since 1998 when I first discovered the game in my youth group advisor’s game collection. My friends and I were deep into Dungeons and Dragons at the time, but Blood Bowl took over as this beautiful blend of D&D, Chess, American Football, with some seriously cool miniatures to paint.

… I was hooked …

While my childhood friends eventually stepped away from the game I was still doing my own thing. Blood Bowl was a creative outlet that let me paint, craft, model, expand my imagination and learn new skills. In recent years that’s included 3D printing, airbrushing, and digital design.

When I learned that the game relaunched in 2016, I was preparing to move to Seattle to start working for Amazon. I didn’t know people were still playing the game and I’d never heard of a group of coaches running leagues and tournaments!

… I was hooked even further ….

The Everett Blood Bowl League (EBBL) was my first Blood Bowl home and I will also be a member of that group at heart. They welcomed me in a way that was truly special, and I thank them for all the friendships created.

I’ve since moved back to Utah and now part of the Rocky Mountain Blood Bowl League (RMBBL) where I started to design and print my own neoprene pitches.

This is, and always will be, a passion project that I do for the community. The Blood Bowl community will always hold a special place within my heart.
